As 2019 comes to an end, I thought it would be a good idea to put together an article about some of the amazing things that have happened over the last year.

Well, it started in January with our move to our new premises in King Street. The new place is much larger, better positioned and better suited to our needs. We now have a conference room, our own kitchen, a private gym, a separate meeting room and a large open plan studio. I really believe we can grow into this new space, something we simply couldn\’t do before.

Next up, at the start of the year we had some new staff join us, beginning with our designer Thomas who is doing some great work for us and our clients. Not only this, Thomas now leads our SEO campaigns and loves getting stuck into the nitty gritty of analytics and data and has shown a strong interest in code. This is reflected in the fact that we have more SEO clients than ever before, and this is one arm of the business that has seen massive growth over the last 12 months.

Then of course, Luke joined our team as a developer working alongside the rest of the team helping to turn ideas into fully functional websites. Luke has also been a fantastic help with clients, as many of you will know. He brings a unique set of skills to the table and has been developing a bespoke database system for one of our clients over the last few months, something we were unable to do before Luke started with us.

We ran our partner showcase which was a great success and a fun evening! We certainly plan to run more events next year as everyone had such a good time.

From a business point of view, we decided to focus a little more on Engineering, Industrial and Commercial work in order to specialise our skills. This has worked out great and I genuinely believe we have done some of our very best work this year. Financially we have had our best year to date, which is especially notable when you consider the move and staffing costs we have incurred over this period.

Last year we launched our sister brand and business Heritage Creative, a company focused solely on the heritage sector. The business is doing amazingly well having really taken off in the last year. We have had the opportunity to work with some very significant clients within the sector. Just last week I was lucky enough to attend a London event which was a phenomenal success.

Finally, we have hired a new member of our team, Katie, who will be working with us from January as a Marketing Executive. Katie will assist Thomas with our SEO work as well as inbound and outbound campaigns for both ourselves and our clients. We believe this extra resource will greatly benefit our clients and we can’t wait for the new year. Watch this space!
