How much will it cost?
The cost of a website varies depending on your requirements. Please see the costs page for more information

How long will it take?
Again, this is dependant on your exact requirements. As a rough idea, very small sites can take as little as a week and large sites anywhere up to 3 months or sometimes more. Typically a website takes around 8 weeks to complete including testing and bug fixing.

Is there anything I can do to reduce the costs?
There are many things you can do to reduce the cost of a website. See the costs page for more information.

Will I have to do anything?
You will be required to write up a detailed and accurate brief to help us understand your project so that we may build your website successfully. You will also be required to provide all written content. During the build of the website you will be asked to review and test various features and aspects of the build to make sure it meets your requirements. Many people wrongly think that getting a website is simply a case for paying for it, which is not the case.

How long have you been trading?
Voodoochilli Design has been a limited company since 2005. Before we became limited we were a partnership trading for approximately 3 years mostly on a freelance basis. You can read more about the company here.

Do you do SEO work?
All of our sites are built with a basic level of Search Engine Optimisation as standard. We also take on commissions to improve search engines status. Indeed, we have even been hired by our competition to improve their websites! Check out our SEO page.

Do you do speculative work?
Many times we have been asked to work on a project at a reduced price for a promise of future work. We are a professional web design company and cannot take on work of this nature.

The Web Design Process

1. The Brief

The very first thing that happens when you contact us is that you brief us in as much detail as to the requirements of your website. At this point it is good to give us links to reference websites that you like the look and feel of as well as some information on your company and the goals of the website.

2. The Consultation

In this stage there is a discussion between both the client and Voodoochilli. Any initial questions relating to the brief or process should be clarified here. Typically it is at this point that a contract is signed and the initial deposit is paid by the client.

3. The Designs

We will provide the client with a design and possibly a few variations that we feel best suits your requirements based on the information that you have provided us. Any amendment requests from the client will be actioned here before approval of the design.

4. The Development

Once we have all of the website content from you we will then start the development of your website. The size and complexity of the website will affect the length of this process.

5. Sign Off

Once you are happy with the site we will prepare you site for launch. Any final payments should be paid at this point.

6. Launch

Your site will be launched and live for the world to see!
